In order to satisfy the minimum requirements for this category, data should be available on level of the following chemicals by water source and be updated at least weekly:

  • fecal coliform

  • fluoride levels
  • nitrates
  • TDS (Total dissolved solids)

The Ministry of Environment and Climatic Affairs ( http://moeca.gov.om/ ) is responsible for environment issues and violations of environmental laws and the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources ( http://mrmwr.gov.om/ ) is responsible for regulate the use of water resources in the country. It is not clear which body has data on water pollution and/or if any of this information is available to the public.
