Timetable data for all public transportation services are collected by non-profit organization (possibly other organizations too) thanks to agreement with government and transportation operators. It is publicly available in form suitable for printing (PDF), or in machine readable form as paid service. Some operators consider their timetable data as trade secret - particularly crazy idea for many. Specifically, national level train transportation timetable information is available at http://www.zsr.sk/slovensky/vyhladavanie-elis.html?page_id=2990 (linked from http://www.zsr.sk/). This data is not machine readable and is not available in bulk.
||http://slovak.statistics.sk/||HTML, ...||#63 15%||45%|
Format: HTML, XLS, CSV, ...
Demography and social statistics (aloing with some others) ar available at URL which starts with "http://slovak.statistics.sk/..." but is too long to be pasted here. Instead, we can start at http://slovak.statistics.sk/, click at "Statistics" and than at "Demography and social statistics".
Data there is in HTML table.
There is no formal license attached to data, only copyright assertion at the bottom of the page. So at least free access is assumed (sort of improvement over 2013), while openly licensed is filled as "no".
No all data is consistently availabe this way but at least those few stats mentioned in Census definition are, thus we can fill "yes" for "is it accessible online" (again, sort of improvement over 2013).
Maps are available via interactive portal without means to export data (other than printing to PDF). Thankfully it works with Firefox without need for special plugins. Maps are available in resolutions up to 1:2000 .
There is no copyright notice or erms of service for data noticable anywhere in the web application but there is a "shopping cart" visible in the upper-left part which shows "purchse form". Thus "no" is filled for open lincese.
Legally binding is only paper version of statute. Data can be easily scraped from web page. There is a copyright notice so "no" is filled for open license.
Data is reported via web portal, no data export available. Readings are updated hourly, historical data is available few days back.
There is copyright and "all rights reserved" (allowing only personal use) notices at the bottom thus "no" is filled for open license.
Data is accessible in bulk form only on special arrangement. Or it can be just scraped from web. License for the data is not clearly stated so "no" is filled.
||http://www.rozpocet.sk/||HTML, XLS||#36 45%||45%|
Format: HTML, XLS
Data is available in a form of "interactive portal". XLS export is available for some data (but sometimes fetches tables without numbers) so "machine readable" was filled "unsure". License is not clearly stated and there is copyright notice in the footer of the web page so "no" is filled.
Slovak Republic is small country, so there is only about 10^4 different postcodes altogether. List of those can be obtained from Slovak Post Office at http://www.posta.sk/stranky/postove-smerovacie-cisla . License is not clearly stated and there is Copyright notice at the page providing the download so "no" is filled.
Latitude and longitude information is not provided in the data source but other data source (https://zbgis.skgeodesy.sk/tkgis/default.aspx - intended for users, no API) can be used to locate towns (but not streets). Thus the data is considered as NOT available.
There is some summary information about spending on monthly basis available at http://www.rozpocet.sk/ and http://www.finance.gov.sk/ (see for example http://www.rozpocet.sk/app/homepage/rozpocetVCislach/monitoringStatnehoRozpoctu/mesacnePlnenie/2014/ and also for example http://www.finance.gov.sk/Default.aspx?CatID=9779) but those do not match the definition used by Census.
Results for various election types exists in digital form. Good starting point for search is http://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoznam_volieb_na_Slovensku but:
While previously data was published for example at http://app.statistics.sk/nrsr2012/ with option to also download the data at least in XLS format, after website upgrade old links are broken and old data is hard to find.
License for the data is not clearly stated so "unsure" is filled.
So compared to 2013, we made a step back with this dataset in Slovakia.
