Data are machine readable (csv file) and available on the open data platform data.gouv.fr.

La Poste now provides postcodes dataset as open data. Postcodes in France often cover several municipalities. The dataset can be completed with GEOFLA® data from IGN wich provides geo-referenced administrative boundaries also as open data.

FranceRaster (provided by IGN) are available, in tiff georeferenced format, free of charge and under the Licence Ouverte / Open License (allowing commercial and non-commercial use alike) for resolution from 1:100.000 to 1:800.000. The current version (V4) has been published in october 2013.

Data from the data warehouse on environmental indicators are available in machine-readable (CSV files). Bulk download is possible for each indicator from the website.

National elections results are available in open data at council level (Communes). However, it is worth noted the Ministry of Interior still refuses to publish elections results at pooling station level, even though the data are transmitted and published by civil society organization Regards Citoyens https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/resultat-des-elections-presidentielles-francaise-de-2012-au-niveau-bureau-de-vote-nd/.

Proposed revision: url updated, and data is available in bulk. "It is considered non-bulk if the citizens are limited to getting parts of the dataset through an online interface". It's not the case.

The data available is not complete, only Transilien, Intercités and TER lines are provided and not the main fast TGV lines. Also the licence under which it is released is an internal rewriting of the french ODbL with modifications that make it unsure whether it is actually OpenDefinition compliant.

Revision: the data are updated on a weekly basis for Transilien and every two months for TER and Intercités. So the data is provided on a timely and up to date basis.

Data are now available online and for free. Regarding the license, it is now openly licensed but still subject to the 2002-1064 decree which, in theory, authorize the data owner to refuse to grant the license to a reuser. See http://rip.journal-officiel.gouv.fr/index.php/pages/juridiques

Spending data at transnational level are collected and stored on the financial information system named CHORUS. Data is however not accessible online to the public.
